I have another knick-knack to add to my treasure trove.. a metal keyring! I have more baubles on my key ring than I have keys, they clank when I'm driving, but they're fun!
Spotted TWO camper vans the other day - a lovely red one and a rather battered orange one. Red, orange and green seem to be the most popular colours of the type I like.
A comment from reader June says they're hard to maintain... and I don't doubt it! The fact is I've never even sat in one let alone driven one!
I was out with the kids at a country park recently and spotted a beautifully restored VW camper in the car park. There was a woman leaning on a tree nearby gazing adoringly at it. I guessed it was the (new) owner and went for a chat. She'd only had it a few months and was completely in love with it! And her husband was just about coming round to her way of thinking, she said.
I told her it was a real beauty and that I was envious. She knew exactly where I was coming from. A kindred spirit - except she actually owns one!
