Have set the reminder on my TV for 19.30 to watch Jamie Owen's Welsh Journeys tonight. As Auntie says: Jamie climbs aboard an antique VW camper for a weekend of sunshine and surf to celebrate 50 years since Gower was declared Britain's first area of outstanding natural beauty.
Our beautiful country AND a camper van! Swoon....
Spotted three camper vans over the weekend - some more easy on the eye than others. There seems to be one permanently parked in Llandaff ( I work in Cardiff)... orange, a bit rusty (aren't they all?!) I'm even getting to like the younger 70s ones.
Thinking about hiring one for the weekend - it seems like a good idea, but worried I'll decide they're awful! ie lovely to look at but pretty impractical.
My kiddies told me there's a children's TV programme which features a camper van. It's totally gone out of my head now, but I'll ask them to remind me later.
Saw the charming Little Miss Sunshine film not that long ago. It 's about a dysfuntional family and - you've guessed it - a camper van! If you missed it, you can read all about it!
