Had a comment on a previous post from a certain Dan who's restoring an old camper. Hats off to anyone who has a go I say!

After reading his comment I took another look at Camper Van Crisis, the TV programme I'd spotted. Nigel Isted's accounts of restoring a camper is a bit out of date now, but still worth a look

I've been spotting campers all over the TV lately. Jamie (pukka tukka) Oliver has one (the one he took to Italy) lurking in the background in the outside shots of his latest TV Show: Jamie at home (or whatever it's called). I also spotted some great ones in a film: Almost Famous, set in the 60s. No pix of the campers but you can't have everything!

I've always rather liked the Body Shop, and while I'd known for some time that founder Anita Roddick was in poor health, her death was still a surprise.

But she knew how to go out in style if this report is anything to go by - her hearse was a vintage camper van! Respect!

Being totally useless at all things mechanical I would never contemplate renovating a camper to its former glory. And if I was ever tempted then this Aussie ex-pat's latest blog would be enough to bring me back to my senses.

Hadn't bought anything for a while.... so it was time to make up for being careful with my dosh! Lastest buys include a rather lovely porcelain mug, bought in Lyme Regis while on my hols.
