But otherwise, there just aren't that many around! I must have been bored or something but was (very briefly) watching the Caravan channel last night. Was quite interested in a motorhome they were showcasing, a Fiat. Quite compact. Very luxurious and comfy interior. But you know.. it wasn't a VW and it just wasn't me. I bought it six years ago for £7,000 and it’s probably still worth this much. Camper vans tend not to lose their value as quickly as cars, so it was an excellent buy. We’ve added to it over the years, though - we have put in a new passenger seat and had the whole interior renovated. We take most of our holidays in it as well so it’s been hugely beneficial for us as a family. Nigel Isted's accounts of restoring a camper is a bit out of date now, but still worth a look I've been spotting campers all over the TV lately. Jamie (pukka tukka) Oliver has one (the one he took to Italy) lurking in the background in the outside shots of his latest TV Show: Jamie at home (or whatever it's called).
