The classic VW camper van is a beautiful thing. So when I see a rather less beautiful image of a camper van on accessories then I'm one disappointed camper van fan.

Those Yanks sure know how to sell themselves - cause that's basically what a consumer rights lawyer is doing in his blog!
Last weekend the official event to celebrate 60 years of Volkswagen vans held in Hanover, Germany attracted 71,000 visitors with an amazing selection of over 5,000 Transporter vans and campers – from the original ‘split-screen’ T1 to today’s fifth-generation models.

Spotted this:
Build Your Own VW Bus is in the traditional of those old model kits, but with a bit more cool. Available in blue or red, you get all the small pieces (plus screwdriver and instructions) that will undoubtedly test your patience as the nights draw in. But if you have the time and an eye for detail, you'll be rewarded with a working model featuring a die-cast metal body, opening doors, pull back and go motor, bolts, lights and dashboards. And the feeling of pride that comes with a job well done.Available online, you can pick one up for £7.99.

Had a comment on a previous post from a certain Dan who's restoring an old camper. Hats off to anyone who has a go I say!
After reading his comment I took another look at Camper Van Crisis, the TV programme I'd spotted. Nigel Isted's accounts of restoring a camper is a bit out of date now, but still worth a look
I've been spotting campers all over the TV lately. Jamie (pukka tukka) Oliver has one (the one he took to Italy) lurking in the background in the outside shots of his latest TV Show: Jamie at home (or whatever it's called). I also spotted some great ones in a film: Almost Famous, set in the 60s. No pix of the campers but you can't have everything!
I don't know about you.. but this is just awful! The headline says Volkswagon Bus Billiards Table Looks Classy, but it's anything but! Take a look for yourself here and make your own mind up. Yuck!
I think the one I have is bigger and therefore better - but these would make a nice addition for camper van fans everywhere. Tuck in and enjoy!
Got a gorgeous camper but fed up with fuel bills? Author Alison Roberts has the answer with her diesel Westfalia camper van that has been converted to run on recycled vegetable oil.
Yes, really! Click here to read the article which tells you all about it...
Being totally useless at all things mechanical I would never contemplate renovating a camper to its former glory. And if I was ever tempted then this Aussie ex-pat's latest blog would be enough to bring me back to my senses.
Well, according to BigLorryBlog's Brian, it's the 60th birthday of Volkswagon's camper van - and who am I to argue?

I'm off to (hopefully) sunny Devon this year for my hols, but perhaps I should be taking a leaf out of Lembit Opik's book and travel around Wales in a camper van.
For that is what the MP is planning... wonder if it'll impress his Cheeky Girl girlfriend?
A fun idea for writers desperate to get their stuff read: advertise your online masterpieces on a camper van! Ok, it wasn't my idea, but rather Rob Hopcott's.

A clever chap has designed a 'green' version of the classic VW Camper - complete with solar panels.... making this VW Westfalia Camper Van uber cool!

Watching the box the other night and came across a fun episode of That 70s Show - Vanstock!! You guessed, it just like Woodstock but with camper vans!

Have read this blogger before.... he's prolific! Worth a look for his section on campers.... lots of lovely pix.
Was happy (all right, deliriously ecstatic) to see that the blog is actually being read by someone (other than my mates). Have google alerts set up and spotted a link to the blog by Richard Hall, a Methodist Minister in South Wales.
