Actually, I don't know what I want for Christmas.. but this could be a possibility: a camper van MP3 docking station: You can plug in your MP3 player for sounds through the built-in speaker and it boasts a glowing engine, working tail lights and head lights with high-beam feature.

Now that the sun's coming out again, I've been spotting quite a few VW campers out and about. Great!

I've been told that the green camper parked in a Cardiff suburb is just the tip of the iceberg.. there are a futher three similar ones in a parallel road. Trendy area or what! Must check them out and take snaps..

Spotted this.... great if you've got very young kids (so absolutely useless for me).

Sometimes I get to drive to work... and I've spotted the green camper that I see from the train! I shouldn't even be looking in that direction... but something made me turn my head on the way home yesterday and I saw it! Will go in for a closer look tonight.

Meanwhile, the yellow camper in the village is still parked on the roadside. Still looking rusty. Looking a bit unloved, if truth be told. Bought lottery tickets and am hoping for a win tonight. Guess what's on the (near) top of my wish list?

I know it's the premiere of the new Bond film tonight - but guess what! My headline has nothing to do with it! I tricked you! What it is about is my new Volkswagon Bus 2007 (geddit) calendar, bought this lunchtime in Cardiff. It has lovely pictures - and I was particularly taken with the 1960 VW crew cab - looks like it's come straight out of an Elvis Presley movie! (Was he making them then? Haven't a clue, but am sure you know what I'm on about). The calender is licensed by Volkswagen in Germany, so it's kosher - and not that cheap. But worth it. A whole year of bus eye candy...

Forgot to mention the picture I've got, in my collection, made up of three postcards bought off ebay. They weren't expensive - and look great mounted in the silver frame I bought. The net's great for picking up stuff - I've been looking at the t-shirts on ebay - nice, but you can get equally good ones from surfer-type shops.

Didn't spot any (new) camper vans over the weekend. Perhaps the fact I stayed in out of the rain on Saturday had something to do with it! Ah well, another week, another chance to go camper van spotting!
